Join Western Resilience Center’s April Community Meeting, where we will hear updates on community water supply, drought impacts, and opportunities to reduce water demand from Julie Baxter, water resources manager for the City of Steamboat Springs. With the worst snowpack on record, this year’s runoff is ahead of schedule and expected to be far below normal. Join us and learn about current Stage 2 and pending Stage 3 drought restrictions, operations at city-run facilities, as well as the new landscaping code and other longer-term preparations and actions you can take to help conserve limited water supplies. In addition to Steamboat, we are working to include neighboring communities for brief drought response updates.
