Join Western Resilience Center’s August Community Meeting, where we will hear updates on water quality at Stagecoach Reservoir from Andy Rossi, general manager for Upper Yampa Water Conservancy District. With the increasing occurrence of algal blooms threatening recreational closures and other issues for the reservoir, coupled with concern about further water quality impacts related to future development, Upper Yampa initiated a multi-year water quality monitoring and modeling project and will report on the conclusions of the project’s first phase. Join us and learn about overall watershed and reservoir dynamics in the Bear River and Stagecoach Reservoir related to nutrients and algal blooms and how the model could be used as a tool to protect and improve water quality into the future. All are welcome to attend. Please register to receive the Zoom link.
