Welcome to Western Resilience Center (formerly Yampa Valley Sustainability Council)’s 17th annual ReTree Planting!

This year, planting will take place over four days throughout the Yampa Valley. The third planting will take place on Oct. 10. Over the past 17 years, we have planted over 25,000 trees in the Yampa Valley. This project aims to increase shade along the river to reduce water temperatures, improve riparian habitat, and sequester carbon.

All are welcome to join in this community tree planting! Breakfast burritos, coffee and the 2026 ReTree T-shirt designed by local artist Jill Bergman will be provided for all volunteers. Sign up here.
